Hi loves, today I’ll be talking about styling basics and the different ways that you can do so. I love laying back and not caring too much about my outfit most days. I usually wear a T-shirt or an oversized sweater if I’m being completely honest. Although, wearing a T-shirt, especially if it’s a white one can get boring really quickly. Here are three tips on how to style the classic white t-shirt.
I’ve partnered up with Force Majeure Montreal, a fantastic street style brand that focuses on unisex clothing. If you would like to check them out, (and maybe match me) click here! I love the brand and what they stand for, they have such unique basics and not to mention great quality clothing.
*Disclaimer: These are my honest opinions of the brand, and I only partner up with brands that I truly believe in.
Without further ado, here are three ways to style the basic tee!
One: The Classic Plain Tee with Jeans and Booties
I’ve added a little twist to this outfit by wearing a grey sweater with the outfit. Not to wear the sweater over the T-shirt, but to wear it as a throw on and to tie. This gives the classic look a little more texture. This is definitely a simple ensemble that will have people turning heads!
Jeans: Zara
Sweater: H&M
Two: Layers, Layers, Layers
If it’s colder outside, layering is definitely something you want to do. If you’re like me, this is a look for you. I wear lots of layers to keep warm all year round. What I’ve done here is paired the tee with a white turtleneck. You can play it up with colours to create a fun combination, go wild the rainbow is yours! I’ve paired this look with trousers to give it a more dressed up feel, if you’re going to a meeting or the office.
Trousers: H&M
Three: Coats, Sweaters, and oversized goodness
For the third and final look, I’ve thrown on a faux fur coat to put the outfit together. You can add almost any oversized open coat or sweater to make it the comfiest outfit ever. It’s a great way to dress when you need to go out for errands or are going out on a #sundayfunday adventure. Jeans or trousers work well with this! Another lovely look to try, is to pair it with culottes and platform sneakers.
