Off-Duty Winter to Spring Ootd

Hello loves! It is now that confusing time of the year where it is spring one day, and winter the next. I love wearing cute booties or canvas sneakers, but when there’s slush everywhere and its zero degrees, I feel cheated out on what could have been a nice spring day. So, I have curated a cute and casual outfit that is perfect for one of those colder spring days.

The only way that I positively stay warm in Montreal during the beginning of spring is by wearing my black puffer jacket. It also doubles as a winter coat, so I know that i’ll never go cold. I love this coat not only because its super cozy, but because it’s basic, and can be worn a few different ways. Its one of those staples that you just can’t live without.

Good news is, it won’t be cold forever, and when it does get a little warmer you can totally wear this outfit without the coat and look just as fab off-duty. This is my new favourite turtleneck from H&M. Its cozy, large, and colourful. It gives your outfit a great pop of colour; after all it is spring! I love bringing out colours during this season because we’ve all just trudged out of the snow, and haven’t gotten the chance to give our outfits the spotlight they deserve.

I’ve simply paired the coat and turtleneck with a pair of light-washed denim jeans and a pair of sneakers. This is your time to get creative. I opted for something simple but of course, I’ve also got a few style tips if you want to go for something out of the ordinary.

You can wear a pair of wide legged jeans and your favourite booties. I personally think sock booties would go super well with this combination.
